Earlier this month, we were very pleased to be named a 2016 Cool Vendor in Security for Technology and Service Providers, by Gartner.
The report noted that “the boundaries of information security are fast expanding. These Cool Vendors are pioneering new directions and potential opportunities in the security market.” It’s nice to have this recognition and we believe being recognized as a Cool Vendor for our BOTsink deception platform validates our approach to dynamic deception and the ability to swiftly identify threats within the enterprise, data center, cloud, SCADA, and most recently, IoT environments. If you are a Gartner client, you can access the full report by analysts Ruggero Contu, Lawrence Pingree, and Eric Ahlm here.
Cool Vendor is just one several recognitions we have received in recent months. We were named a Gold winner of the 2016 Global Excellence Awards® for deception based security and a Silver winner for Intrusion Detection, Prevention or Combinations by Info Security Products Guide. The awards which honor excellence in security products, people and companies and this year a panel of more than 50 industry veterans selected the winners.
We were also named the Cloud Awards Security Innovation of the Year. The Cloud Awards program recognizes excellence in all spheres of cloud computing. Over 300 organizations entered from across the globe in categories including: Best Software as a Service (SaaS), Best Cloud Infrastructure, Most Promising Start-Up, and Security Innovation of the Year.
The company was a Finalist for the Tech Trailblazers Award and earlier this year was recognized as “a deception solution not to be left off of your list” in a product review published by SC Magazine. In addition, Cyber Defense Magazine, the industry’s leading electronic information security magazine named us the winner of the Next Gen Deception Based Security Solution award. The selection was made after many months of review and judging by leading independent information security experts.
I was also pleased to be named to CRN magazine’s 2016 Women of the Channel list. The women executives who comprise this annual list span the IT channel representing vendors, distributors, solution providers and other organizations that figure prominently in the channel ecosystem.
It’s been very gratifying to have Attivo receive so much recognition from the industry in only six months. Deception is making great strides in being recognized as a highly efficient way to quickly detect attacker movement within a network and as a critical component for understanding attacks and accelerating incident response. I look forward to participating in the continued success and recognition of this game-changing cyber defense technology.
