FREMONT, Calif.Feb. 18, 2020PRLog — Attivo Networks®, the award-winning leader in deception for cybersecurity threat detection, today announced that Chief Technology Officer, Tony Cole, will join other cybersecurity leaders at RSAC 2020 for a panel discussion titled, “Going Cyber-Nuclear: Is It Time for a Big Red Button?” In a wide-ranging conversation that touches on cybersecurity, the internet, and economics, panelists will discuss what would happen if the United States closed off its internet in the name of cordoning off U.S. network traffic from bad actors.

In an era of heightened tensions between the world’s superpowers, this panel discussion seeks to illustrate the hypothetical challenges, trade-offs, security risks, and repercussions the U.S could face from isolating its network traffic from the rest of the world. Cole, an acknowledged authority with over 30 years of experience in the military, government, and cybersecurity industries, will join other security experts to discuss the various systems, operations, and infrastructures that could be compromised. Moderated by Stanley Lowe of Zscaler, Inc., the panel will also feature remarks by Michael Daniel, President and CEO at Cyber Threat Alliance; and Anne Marie Zettlemoyer, Vice President of Security Engineering and Business Security Office at Mastercard.
